Unfortunately I think we have all been unwittingly exposed to it at some point, it was used in schools for a long time as well

My house was covered in artex when I moved in... ceilings, walls... what could they have been thinking?! First thing we did is have a plasterer skim over it all.

All mine was plastered over. The only place I still have it is in the bathroom but that’s probably being done in the new year.

My nan still has artex walls in her living room.

This house, and the bungalow we have just bought were both fully ceiling artexed.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are still artexed here, the bungalow has had all the walls and ceilings plastered, but all the artex was after 1990 anyhow.

Its scary to think that young people buying or renting a house might scape it of and could get cancer
