I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Australia presenter Julia Morris has said that she'd jump at the chance to host the UK version of the show, following Ant McPartlin's absence this year.

ITV has confirmed that Declan Donnelly WILL still have a co-host Down Under, and there's a growing campaign to get Julia involved after clips of her presenting the Aussie version went viral on Twitter.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today (August 23), Julia said: "I'd take the job in a heartbeat.

"I am a huge fan of the show and lived in the UK for seven years, and when I came home to Australia and heard they were doing an Australian version, I went lock, stock and two very smoking barrels to get that job because it always looked like the boys were having so much fun. So I was lucky enough to land it."

Known for her funny intros on the Australian I'm a Celeb, she explained the secret behind her one-liners: "It's a bit of a combination salad of my general insanity, and we also have some writers on staff who are probably the funnier of them, if I'm being really truthful.

"We have a six-week run of our I'm a Celebrity so I'm always trying to throw ones in no-one is expecting to always get bigger laughs on the floor on the day."

Morris admitted that she's a massive fan of Ant, but suggested that she'd bring something very different to the reality show.

"I'm a longstanding fan so I think... I'm not gonna bring what Ant brings, which is a magic that just cannot be described," she said. "But I would certainly bring something reasonably elderly and slightly overweight to be honest – so that could be something new and interesting on television."
