Times have changed Debated on LBC live and TV debates today One Lady said she worried about her future job. BBC2HD University Challenge will end up with just men. You would think as at University they would be above the Social Media worry. Sign Of The Times Last edited by arista; 28-08-2018 at 11:53 AM. |

Isn't it because their primitive brains haven't yet evolved to retain academic information, as opposed to the more comfortable recipes and shopping lists that they naturally excel at?

I love University Challenge, and always follow along/catch up with the hashtag on Twitter. From what I've seen, the "abuse" is more ribbing, and it's pretty even handed. I'd hate for anyone's TV appearances to negatively affect their future*, but this particular set of fears is unfounded - I googled the names of both the women interviewed, and all I could find relating to the show was either their university pages talking about it, or them moaning in these articles.
*Unless they do something outright objectionable or abusive, obviously |
