Default Indonesian Province bans men and women dining together unless related

https://amp.theguardian.com/world/20...r-islamic-aceh

Disturbing story with outrageous little explanations like it's to help the women behave. Women are also put under curfew by the directive that they should not be served after 9pm.

Interestingly this province also publicly whips you for being gay, drinking or gambling.

Just think that's most of tibb at odds with the law there, if you aren't female or gay, chances are you've had a glass of wine or beer in your lifetime and quite a few people have a bet on which housemate will win CBB! How difficult it must be to live under these kinds of rules.

Makes you wonder if the next step is publicly whipping you for being a woman. Not really a stretch of the imagination if they will whip you for your sexuality.

Sounds like a lovely holiday spot.

i guess working colleagues aren't related, but i reckon they would want to have dinner together, especially when they get along really well as colleagues at work

i find this pretty much silly and nonsense cause people should be allowed to have dinner with whoever they want themselves

Yes more Extreme Laws
so basically it confirms that Indonesia shows signs of being a homophobic country with these extreme laws

no drinking or gambling also makes it a boring country to some

so unless they change these laws again, i think it's a drop in tourism for Indonesia and it's their own fault then
