I go to a Turkish barber and pay a little more (£12) but they tape your neck with this paper to stop hairs going down your back and frequently blow the hair away with a hairdryer so when you leave you are not itchy or uncomfortable.

Also they dont speak to you so you can sit silently, which is nice.

Normally I just ask for my hair to be cut in the same style and they are done within ten minutes, not sure if it works the same way here than in Britain...
