Default Your ideal cast size?

I know we know 14 are entering on launch night but I'm just curious as to which cast size you all prefer?

(I'll include lower than 14 for the sake of it lol)2

My personal preference would probably be something around 18, not too small a cast, but also not too large as well.

14 is perfect for 8 weeks.

Having 18-20 makes the format look messy with the countless mass/backdoor evictions they always do in the last week to get the numbers down.

16 for a normal civilian. 12-14 for these 8 weekers we get now.

10-12 for celebrity.

BB18 having the 2nd largest cast out of all BBUK series despite being the 2nd shortest was ****ing dreadful

(bearing in mind BB8 had one more housemate and was 40 days longer)

BB18 was a cute throwback to the late naughties tho what with two sets of new housemates.

Tbf tho BB18 would have still been messy with a smaller cast. It lost 7 housemates in its first 20 days.

Yeah, it was like they were trying to cram a 93-day series into a 50 day one by throwing in a revolving door of housemates halfway through.

hmm tea

BB3 truly was ahead of it's time with 2 housemates entering late at different times!
BB12 and 13 acting like BB1, 2 and 4-6 with these one housemate late entrants

I went with 15 cause I couldn't choose between 14 and 16. I think BB14 got it right. So may ideal would be fourteen housemates with one housemate being a pair, and five housemates remaining on finale night.

I definitely think they would've kept it at 18 if no one kept demanding Sue Evans (although they bloody struggled with 18 in BB17 in a 50 day series?? uhm)

It just became tragic because there were like. 4 backdoors (and also 2 walkers and 2 ejectees for that matter but that can't be helped)

15
After the last few years 14 just doesn’t feel like enough, but 16 is maybe too much especially for launch night

I voted 17, I’d quite like 3 new housemates at some point.

Like when newbies enter

15. One newbie added a few weeks in to spice things up. Any more than 15/16 is too much considering the length of the series.

BB18's messiness is part of its charm on reflection but I hope they never produce it like that again lmao
