Yeah I had no doubts they would catch him. From everything mentioned, it didn't seem like these "bombs" were ever meant to go off. They were meant to intimidate people. Hopefully he is made to be an example of why not to do such a thing rather than encourage future acts...

I'm glad he's been caught, they need to make an example of him and Trump needs to fully condemn his actions AND stop with the rhetoric that's stirring these idiots into action.

I wonder if that guy is the same one who sent intercepted packages to the White House at the sane time.

Yeah, unfortunately even if Trump stopped saying stuff or disappeared from the face of the planet, oth of which are very unlikely, he would not take our domestic issues with him. The temperature and the rhetoric has been rising precipitously ever since the Bush/Obama era. All this is a result of a broken system. The shakes up begin and end there, as the people are looking for their "messiah". Obama, Tea Party, Bernie... now with Trump. It's sad, but I don't see him as the end of that road. At least not yet.

It's convenient for the media to point out Trump's role given their own role in much of our political climate including their part in his successes. Realistically though, not all things in life rotate around Trump. Though I think some have bought into the illusion of their own making and are starting to believe that. In some ways, it's kind of good he is doing most of the talking... because he's the major attraction atm, and he's taking the hits for a group of people who feel unheard. So maybe after all this is over, it may even lower the temperature. As ironic as that sounds, but people knew exactly what they voted for and who they voted in... so this could be the electorate's way of blowing steam after two failed presidencies. (which is a common feeling here) Not saying that will actually happen... I'm 50/50 on either the next administration will be much much worse than Trump (from either side)... or we may want a more centrist Washington, no more rabblerousers...

However I personally feel about Trump, he has helped to burst some bubbles there and bring back some of the confidence in the Right which has been under attack as the "heathens". Imo, in order to balance the Left, we'd also need a stronger Right. But there's also the third possibility which seems very unlikely, that both platforms implode and we see new parties/Libertarian party rise up in it's place... who knows... the rhetoric is only as bad as it is because of the both parties are a major source of disapproval here. Congress' popularity rating being one of the worst no matter who is in charge.

I think Trump should correct himself though and stop the jokes about punching protesters, enemy of the people media, etc. His supporters love it, sure, but for the rest of us, we "pay" the toll for his mistakes in the long-term in the form of increased partisanship.

On the bomber, with the list of people he sent bombs to, he must be a big Cable News watcher/Twitter reader. I made me think. I would say all these people are popular in social media and a lot of issues come from social media.

During the stream I pasted, the YT chat was a total mess. People calling it was a false flag, faked, that he was a "fall guy" and generally a sounding board for everything vulgar. I don't know why serious outfits even keep comment boards/chatrooms like up with their streams when they're 100% filled with the worst kind of people. None of the conversation is regular people.

The boards&chatrooms that were around during the 90's (think Yahoo and MSN) were all but completely closed for very similar reasons, including pedophilia, vitroil, stalking, etc. I disagreed with it at that time, but maybe something similar will eventually happen to social media. The Atlantic for example have already gotten rid of their comment boards entirely.

As an aside, the suspect does look a lot like Courtney Stodden's ex/current(?)-husband... both are creepy looking.

Trump: ‘I Think I’ve Been Toned Down’ On Rhetoric; ‘I Could Really Tone It Up’
Interview with a former boss:

Debra Gureghian, the general manager of the shop where mail bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc worked as a delivery driver, described what it was like to work with him.

That last clip is really really bad... said the lady was the first he'd burn in hell because she's a lesbian. There's really no reasoning with that kind of person... she is the much bigger person, said she could not fire him over his political views. Maybe she really thought she could reason with him and change his heart. She could've been one of his victims though.

He did condemn it and then at a rally he made out that it was the media's fault for not being complimentary to him. The latter action undoes the first completely.

Yes, he is a Classical Liberal. That would make him a Libertarian, lime.

Quote:
Classical liberalism is a political philosophy and ideology belonging to liberalism in which primary emphasis is placed on securing the freedom of the individual by limiting the power of the government.
Source: https://www.sciencedaily.com/terms/c...liberalism.htm

He had a show on MSNBC when Obama was running for President (2008). He was on CNN Crossfire as well. He was recently on Rubin Report and must be on some sort of press tour, because he was at Politicon as well arguing with Cenk Uygur (No... just no).

I highly recommend watching it. He's a DC-insider and he knows how the "ruling class" works. Something he himself admitted he was a part of. They all hate the middle-class. I actually agree with him whole-heartedly about the Republican party not even wanting to deal with them. They seemed to have no interest in the little guy until Trump's run to be honest. Now the party has gone a bit more Libertarian as that's the "new wave" of Conservative-ism. A good thing, because Libertarians generally believe leave people the **** alone when it comes to their personal business (i.e. lax on social issues)... they just really hate big institutions and are heavy into the rights of individuals. Something conservatives sort of abandoned themselves during the Bush era. If they go back to that, the bottom will fall out of the party I think.

Him & Cenk Uygur had a "debate" on similar topics, but it's mainly talking points... kind of boring.

Donald Trump Praised Tucker Carlson's Book, Which Actually Calls him 'Vulgar' and 'Ignorant'
https://www.newsweek.com/tucker-carl...tucker-1168823

Quote:
Carlson's Ship of Fools: How a Selfish Ruling Class Is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution labeled the president "vulgar" and "ignorant" despite being a largely positive book about Trump ascending to the White House because of elitist failures.
Another introduction to Libertarianism through debate. Though this is a mixed panel. Talking about the new future for politics. Especially for us young folk in the US. It does get heated at a couple of points:

Sorry if that is a lot. I think there is more going on out there than talking points. Those are too easy. Trump is bad, but Trump is sometimes good. Bombs bad. Peace good. End of discussion for me? Yes, SD in general can sometimes be trite... I don't expect anyone to agree with me, but I prefer that the discussion sometimes go a little deeper than those points.

maru to be fair Tucker Calson recentley on his show had a discussion about the enviorment and the damages that plastic bottles were doing .it was a good ..informative piece..But then he ended it by saying this is why he disliked migrant's...because they leave so much rubbish behind

trump is bad but sometimes good means nothing to me .

When a sitting POUTS tells the world that if you critize me you are enemy of the state....That Maru globally is more than worrying
