That doesn't check out cause why wouldn't they just show that if it was an innocent mistake? Because then people would see how absurd it is, therefore there has to be some bigger coverup of a more serious incident

None of this makes any sense, but then they ejected a girl for tweets she made outside of the ****ing house so I guess it should be expected

Hmm, interesting that his family are claiming that production tried their best to keep him in but Channel 5 wanted rid of him.

What could it be that Channel 5, who have already shoved BB into a pile **** by not giving a damn about it, felt the need to protect their image by wanting Lewis ejected?

I really do think hes been arguing with Akeem and has said a racial slur in anger towards him.

Even from the diary room convo, Lewis was still refusing to admit he did anything wrong really.

I do hope they show it. But I don't think they will.
Yeah words don't slip out unless you actually use them

The Channel 5 legal team getting involved is odd too...could they just...not have told them?

Honestly none of it makes sense tbh. Like others have said, production bent over backwards to keep him in for weeks and weeks when he would've been evicted under normal circumstances, but then they've ejected him over something they could've easily just not shown and pretended like it never happened? Surely if they ejected him they'd want to show the actual incident to justify the ejection, otherwise they've just lost out on money and pissed off his fans for no reason.

I assume they're obliged to inform them whenever anyone gets a warning, or else they might be getting slightly sued

Exactly, the whole thing is a total joke. It's a real shame because the production has been on point this summer/autumn but the continued lack of transparency that has plagued this show for a lot of its life on C5 hasn't gone anywhere and it really isn't good enough

Ejecting people for tweets, not explaining why people walk, removing some people for minor transgressions and not others. Really, really poor

Of course, my point was more: if it really was that innocent, why give him a warning in the first place? Just brush over it, pretend it never happened and the footage never has to see the light of day to anyone

Don't they have a legal representative on hand watching the live feed in case anything happens or am I completely making that up? (I feel like that's part of the reason it's always on a delay)

They do, but I presumed they worked on behalf of Endemol, whom then had to make a quick phone call to C5 legal to get the okay to show certain scenes that they were unsure about (when they broadcast live feed that is)

It's strange. Unless the other housemates complained and feared for their safety or whatever, they could've just not shown whatever it was Lewis said. It's not like they have the live feed.

This is why it was clearly not just an 'innocent slip'. They would not eject the huge fave to win right before opening the win lines for a 'slip'.

the person it was directed to perhaps requested that it not be shown, If it was particularly offensive I can see that happening

I cant for the life of me understand why we haven't been shown any footage of the events that led up to his removal.

In January Anne Widdicombe was openly homophobic.

India was constantly referred to as "he"

in Summer Rodrigo saying n****r was aired 3 times and Roxanne faking a domestic abuse story to ruin someones life was played out with no interference from production (other than to give Ryan a warning).

What the **** are they playing at?

It could be that they think a lot of people will think that the offence is not major enough to deserve ejection, and they don't want the hassle of complaints...

So they run away from the problem? lol seriously in recent years that's exactly what BB have done, run away and not confront the issues.

Its a very cowardly move which just makes them look like pussies and angers the fans more than it would to show something that may cause offence.

We are all grown ups we can take someone using a bad word without spontaneously combusting from the sheer shock and offence.

Is that twitter account legit?

What's amusing to me about this is that I suspect I would agree with what Lewis said.

They surely can't let the biggest character of the series just go like that without a proper explanation? Even I, as someone who didn't care the guy at all, could see he was the runaway winner with the Vote to Win opening tonight.
