Hasn’t really shocked me, but RIP. A fine statesman and one of the last beacons of bipartisanship in those United States. He will be sorely missed.

94 is definitely a ripe old age, but yes I agree that it's a horrible time of year for anyone to lose family. Not that any time of year is nice, obviously, but I think when it's marked by an occasion like the festive period it can bring back those feelings year after year in a different way.

I don't a lot about it but I thought Reagan made a good point that it is in America's interests to have a friendly ally in Mexico, and if things aren't going well economically there immigration provides a safety valve that stabilises Mexico more.
