Default Do brands have diverse models for the right reasons?

Something I’ve wondered for a while and I’ve just had a boots advert before a YT video showing a range of models (gender fluid, disabled, PoC etc) so thought I’d make a thread

Do you think that brands use a range of models to represent diversity and to be inclusive or do you think that most brands do it to tick boxes and shout “LOOK!! diversity!” And therefore avoid any potential backlash if they weren’t to use a different range of people?

They literally use people like Winnie Harlow for their own gain rather than to give her equal opportunities to other models so the whole thing is backward.

It's most likely a box ticking exercise. The best that can come from it would be normalising "diverse" casting, so we can stop this stupid discussion and brands can hire whoever they want.
