Bloody anti-vaxxers...

I'd suggest they look at pictures (and death certificates) showing the results of the illnesses vaccines protect against, and ask themselves if the risk of these things is better than the autism they believe vaccines cure.

I'd make vaccinations mandatory...

If not parents should be held liable for any deaths caused due to non vaccination... It's neglect

Ehhh this is a complicated issue because whilst there is obviously a solid argument, it's also verging on parody how much Americans OVER-inflate the role of vaccination in medical history / reduced child mortality rates, and also the propaganda surrounding the seriousness of illnesses that - with our scientific, level-head caps on (which militant anti-anti-vax people CLAIM to have) - we can see are usually relatively minor and with modern healthcare only very very rarely become serious.

I mean we're at the point where the US insurance/medical system has American parents ****ting their pants over the bloody chicken pox

Facts:

Vaccines do some good. But they are insignificant in improved health rates when compared to the effect of modern sanitation, antibiotics and modern healthcare. Peopl (especially in the US) have been duped into believing that "children not dying" is mainly down to vaccination, which when you actually look at the medical facts and the statistics, is utterly ludicrous.

Basically I find the militant anti-anti-vax to be as smug and uneducated as the anti-vax movement itself. Just hyperbole flying around everywhere on both sides and nary a fact in sight.

I also find the dogmatic pro-vax rhetoric occasionally dangerous, for example, the widely spread myth that vaccination has a 100% success rate or even close to it, which leads to people ignoring symptoms - "My child can't have measles, we vaccinated " - spoiler: your child CAN still get measles and while they will 999 out of 1000 times recover just fine if you live in a warm, dry home... you should be monitoring them for complications, and believing that it's "not possible" leads to complacency.
