Jon has been shocked to discover that the chickens have been eating their own eggs.

Big Brother is now consulting a chicken expert after Jon entered the diary room to discuss his worries.

The computer expert, who has taken charge of the seven chickens, speculated that a lack of grit in their feed might be responsible.

He reckons they have developed a taste for a ready source of protein, after Nush fed them a cracked egg.

Jon, who is now on regular chicken watch, told the housemates: "I'm quite happy to admit that I don't know enough about chickens, but I seem to have a memory of learning that when a chicken had started eating its own eggs, that was it."

Meanwhile, Cameron, Jon and Steph are emerging as the early risers of the house.

Whilst the rest of the housemates are still asleep, the trio have been sunbathing in the garden and chatting about holidays.

Cameron admitted he's never been on a beach holiday, much to the astonishment of Steph.

Jon and Steph say they both like clubbing and holidays but agree that Ibiza is not their cup of tea.
