The Trouble is all their money is in these new planes that Travel Company has 5, and soon they get a sixth. If you have a flight booked and its that plane you can not change it. Me and my daughter are flying to Glasgow next week with Ryanair, I've been checking if they use those planes and I think they don't yet but have an order of them due next month, anyone know for sure? I think I'd cancel if they were using those planes

Yes! There's no way of knowing if they were defo linked (although there's a chance)... at least now there should *hopefully* be some investigations going on and whatever it is whether it's a software fault or whatever is fixed immediately.
At the end of the day whatever plane you go on could go down, and it's not like TUI operate one set of aircraft anyway. |

They are different airframes, so it shouldn't really matter unless it's found it was a linked software fault. |

The compensation the airlines will be looking to get off Boeing will be eyewatering I dread to think
The amount of flights that may have to be cancelled or delayed (15 planes in a budget airline will mean a lot of flights missed a day) eye watering |

The Boeing 737 is one of the safest and most reliable aircraft in the world, very much like trains on the tube, constantly worked maybe going about 4 flights a day or more with some airlines... My question is, why fix what's not broken?

They changed the engine placement in the latest configuration for greater fuel efficiency. Unfortunately, this mean that the default flying position is now unstable unless software auto corrects it. So, if the software isn't doing what it should, the aircraft tends toward a stall.
People can blame the software if they like, but the under lying problem is in the design of the aircraft, driven by fuel efficiency. |

it's even more crazy when you realise that the way to take a plane out of a stall is to point the nose downward. So if the software over corrects, it puts the plane into a nose dive that the pilot can't do anything about

They did months of tests - no problems but 2 planes , one last year & one now have proved the Technical system is deadly. As the Pilot can not change it This Ethiopian Pilot was a top qualified Pilot he could not stop the controls taking over Boeing Shares are going down fast Computer Engineers Fecked up - FACT 787max Computer Error - Extreme Deaths Last edited by arista; 12-03-2019 at 04:03 PM. |
