some facts
Nigeria back at africa cup, after missing out of main stage the last 2 times (before that though they had become 3rd quite a few times, won the cup once, and also been runner up) Tunisia is the most consistently active nation at africa cup, Always been there at main stage since them hosting it in 1994 Tanzania's first appearance was in 1980, they had failed to qualify every year until now Madagascar had a few shock upsets last year in another african trophy, outing south africa with penalty's there in quarter finals, this is their debut at biggest african competition, they play a friendly en route for this against luxembourg today |

Group D looks brutal. Poor Namibia.
Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia can just walk to the quarterfinals basically. Last edited by Calderyon; 02-06-2019 at 09:18 AM. |

yes and their one reserve goalkeeper, El Sayed who is now 47 yrs old, he has won quite a few africa cups already, also many cups and league titles in egyptian competition (of course just egyptian competition but still they have a very experienced player in him, good for motivating the team, and to keep a good combo of experience and talented youth)

sorry for not keeping this up to date
but some highlights from this years africa cup so far biggest sensation was Madagascar at their debut making the quarter finals, losing to Tunisia there semi finalists are Senegal vs Tunisia Algeria vs Nigeria some facts about these 4 countries if senegal wins we have a new africa cup champion if Algeria wins they win 29 years after their first title if Tunisia wins they'll make their consistency even more successful with a second title if Nigeria wins it would be their 4th title, and they would step up towards egypt into most successful africa cup country
