I played a bit of basketball at school and was one of the best players in my year (though when I say this, bear in mind that I wasn't GREAT, I was just tall and a good shot when everyone else was terrible) but... I just don't really get the appeal of sports video games . Like why would you not just go and play the actual sport.

Game are *****. Took a tenner out of my account for delivery when I first preordered and never mentioned and now they've changed it to a free delivery service with Yodel. The worst courier in the country who can't even give me a tracking number (despite the fact Game have text me to say its with them) and have said they might not be able to deliver all orders tomorrow

It's for those of us that are too bad at the real thing.

Being serious they can be fun, I have a **** ton of FIFA and PES Games in particular. Although NBA Live 16 for the Basketball Games was good too even if I can't defend very well.

I played a bit of PES at Uni (because other people were playing it a lot) and to be fair, I guess these games can be fun if you're playing them against a friend so there's a bit of competition going on... I don't get the appeal vs computer opponent though.

By the end of my time at Uni the PS2 pretty much had Guitar Hero in it permanently though... and the GameCube with Smash Bros Melee. Don't think those discs left the consoles for about 18 months straight . The "living room consoles" that is, of course. I also had my own PC and PS2 in my room for REAL gaming 🤓

God it really is ugly... I'm going to have to find a way to have it hidden away inside the cabinet when I get one, there's no way my wife will sign off on that sitting out in the open

It's because of the "next gen" SSD speed needed for the games. Apparently it has an upgrade slot for an m.2 drive that just involves popping off one side of the case though, I think it has to be one of the "newer" ones which are still on the pricier side, but basically in a year or two you should be able to chuck a 2gb storage upgrade in there for like £50. Flash storage prices drop fast as the technology progresses.

I have a white TV cabinet, so it actually looks better than the PS4 would

I think the big winner about the PS5, and the digital edition even more so is, with no HDD, the amount of moving parts inside the machine is lessened significantly
