What are they hoping to achieve, I wonder? Most people recycle and try to do their bit, so who is their message for, exactly?

My office is in London and there are protests every day, disturbing people getting to work, blocking roads and pathways... This one was singled out because it is "mothers", like that makes them any more caring, any more worried about the future than someone who has no kids.

Anyhoo, I know mine's not a popular opinion, so I'll just carry on with my black bin, my green bin, my brown bin, saving water, saving power, refusing stuff that's over-packaged, not buying stuff wrapped in unrecyclable plastic, looking at an hybrid car (shudder...) and making sure my house is properly insulated. Because, what do I know?

Better off protesting at supermarkets, protest about the amount of plastic and packaging in use.
If the protests bring it to people’s attention, and it’s not getting in the way of people going about their day to day life then fine.
Every little bit helps.

Yes they can not replace the black plastic trays for all foods

The UK could go carbon neutral tomorrow and it wouldn't make an iota of difference to global warming. Until China, India and the USA are on board, we're wasting our time and money.
