Those poll results for the Conseravtives are abysmal . They got around 24% of the vote in 2014 and this looks like what? 8%? .

I get what Alf is saying in that it's good to show that "the voice of the people" can actually still create ripples in what can sometimes seem like the facade of democracy where nothing actually ever changes.

However it is a shame that "the voice of the people" seems mostly to be the bleating of the fearful and the uneducated who would follow bigots like Tommy Robinson because he's got them worked up about immigration.
