I live literally next door to a UNESCO World Heritage Site (others include The Grand Canyon, The Great Barrier Reef etc).

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct:



A massive aqueduct built by Thomas Telford (Industrial Revolution bridge and canal master) in the early 1800's connecting one side of the valley to the other. It's got 19 pillars and is over 100ft high and just over 1000ft long, you can walk across or use a canal boat.

I walk the dog here most days and it's always packed with coaches full of tourists from as far as USA, Japan, Australia...
