Don't really want this thread to turn into a uk far right thread as we already have enough of those to be going on with. I was more interested in the use of government machinations to firstly gain power and then use it against sections of the people.

As this was only episode 1, then it will probably move into different areas after a couple more episodes anyway.

Honestly, a lot of the rhetoric of today's world is similar to that which was common during the time of the Nazi's rise and the appeasement of Germany.

'Concentration camps aren't death camps, the Nazis aren't killing anyone yet.'
'The US's immigration camps are not concentration camps, they aren't killing anyone yet.'

The dehumanisation of immigrants is so ****ing similar to what Jews went through that it's scary how close we are to history repeating itself.

You forgot the bit where the Nazis took away the citizens guns. That's quite key, because without their guns, the people couldn't defend themselves against authoritarianism.

I didn't say Hitler was relevant to the UK today; infact you even quoted my post saying I didn't want this to turn into a UK far right thread. Neither does Trumps paint regulations have anything to do with 2019 uk politics.

Granted, I do sometimes and have watched him and what he has to say, but by the sounds of it, so have you. But a supporter? I don't think so.
