Default Jon\'s idea for a toaster

Actually I have seen a type of toaster which would fit Jon's requirements. (A time delay on the second slice of toast) It was in a hostel in Kent in 1990.

Instead of slots the bread was put on a conveyer belt / chain and each slice was passed through the heating elements. If you put bread on at regular intervals you get toast coming out at regular intervals (Stating the obvious).

This incurs the time delay required.

Sticks we had one of those when we were on holiday, they seem like a great idea at first but the toast kept getting stuck!!
I can't understand why he doesn't just put the second slice of bread in after
then both would be the same

Wouldn't one of the slices be toasted less than the other one then?

Jon telling the others about his big idea:

'For the good of the country'

not if you push it back down to carry on toasting for as long as it takes to butter the first slice
I'd say just spread the butter a bit quicker Jon

This reminds me of that talkie toaster on Red Dwarf. Would you like a waffle. No just shut your grill. Classic. For Dwarfers everywhere.
