Saara Aalto hopes to be in the first same sex pairing on Strictly Come Dancing.

The singer, who has appeared on both The X Factor and Dancing On Ice, is eyeing up another challenge.

Fresh from dropping her brand new Fairytale new EP, she told ITV's Lorraine: "I would love to be on Strictly, I would love it."

And Saara, who identifies as a lesbian, said she would happily be paired with a woman, saying: "Why not? That'd be really good."

Saara also spoke about using her platform to break down barriers and be a role model for LGBTQ+ young people, declaring: "I am so grateful that I am living right now and I have this opportunity."

If she can do DOI then she'll be too good at SCD.

It would be like putting Muse on TXF, or Gordon Ramsay on Masterchef. It would be totally unfair towards the other contestants imo.

And my goodness DID he have an ADVANTAGE ! , that's why i find it funny how people nit pick celebs with a bit of dance experience who enter strictly when James was a professional dancer and entered DOI .

so thank god for that otherwise we would have dozens of musical performances

oh what is lets dance Germany so fun, without moaning, drama, compared to this forum which can never keep its moaning shut towards SCD

german tv is much more fun than british tv, and 100 million times more fun than dreary dull dutch tv
