Ahh when I was a kid my parents were both vocally Labour, they even put those little posters in the window. SNP were very "niche" back then though, only a couple of MPs usually, it was the classic Lab/Con battle in Scotland. Both of my parents were Nurses. Apparently the Tories have been ****ing them over for decades.

No, my parents love to vote against their own self interests and then complain when their vote wins and it bites them in the arse.
