Default PRESS RELEASE: 2nd Week Task Failed

BIG BROTHER HOUSEMATES FAIL SECOND WEEKLY TASK

Big Brother has announced to the housemates that they have failed their second weekly task.

This week, Big Brother asked the housemates to complete a ‘Cub Scout’ themed weekly task. The housemates decided to bet 65% of their total weekly shopping budget on successfully completing the task so, having failed, they will have just £36.23 to spend on supplies for ten people.

The task was made up of individual sections and the housemates had to successfully complete each part to pass.

Firstly the housemates, when called to parade by Big Brother, were required to present themselves in full uniform within two minutes and perform the Cub Scout salute. The housemates completed this part of the task successfully

Part two was putting up a tent. This had to be completed by three housemates with no help from the others. Jon, Justine and Cameron were selected for the job and put the tent up perfectly.

Part three was the knot test. This section had to be completed individually by five housemates all tying a selected knot in under a minute. Sissy, Tania, Ray, Nush and Gos undertook this part of the task. They had to learn how to tie five different types of knots - Reef, Clove Hitch, Sheepshank, Bowline, and Round Turn & Two Half Inches. Each was called into the Diary Room one at a time and given sixty seconds to tie one of those five knots. Each of the five managed to tie their knot successfully.

However, the final part of the task involved each of the housemates going individually into the diary room to test their knowledge of the Cub Scouts. All of the housemates answered their question correctly except Federico who, when asked to recite Cub Scout law instead recited the Cub Scout promise. Federico’s incorrect answer means that the housemates have failed their second weekly task.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Oh dear it's Federico's fault for the second week running.

It just had to be Federico didn't it?

The trouble is some young girls will now feel sorry for him. The useless object will probably go on to win, lol

He seems to not be bothered about the tasks, Could he just be a plant? Is he just doing it on purpose ? Or is it just genuine stupidness. If I was in the house now I would be fuming.

They put such an effort into this task - Oh dear Fed two weeks running - he will be popular!!

He's a bit like the naughty schoolboy who thinks he can get by with charm alone and doesnt put his all into it.

They will all be fading away next week - Gos will be called upon to use all his chefly powers.

I knew it had to be Federico!!! I wish the housemates would be told it's bad enough being to blame for losing the 1st task, but now the 2nd as well!!

He's too cocky for my liking and I think he knows himself he's to blame how he kept going over and over again what he'd said etc

Federico OUT nect week, he annoys me!

well I saw him telling the girls before they were tested to think before they answer
maybe he should take his own advice
he is too arrogant and always acts as if he knows more than everyone, this just proves that he doesn't

Yeah they have to bet between 50% and 100%

At one point they were going to bet 100%

Fed is in trouble now!

Blimey Fed again I'm afraid he's going to have to go, he's not concentrating hard enough. I wonder when he's in his restarant people get the right meals when being served by him. There really going to be starving now, I feel sorry for them, they really deserved to pass and for Fed to throw it away, the mind boggles. surely he must have know the difference between the Law and the Promise. Thing is know one knows he cocked it up, and he won't own up. Not again.

I'm not making any excuses for Fed . . . . . but don't you think BB is being extra-strict with the tasks this year?

For example, when the housemates had a memory task during BB2, they were allowed to get one question wrong and still pass (I think it was Josh who got his wrong).

No margin for error at all in this task - very tough, BB.

From channel 4.com This is what Fed did wrong he was supposed to give the law not the promise. here's a part.....

"I said the Promise, word for word," he told the assembled clan, perhaps not realising his error.

"I did not get one word wrong, I'm telling you," he went on, "I took 25 seconds at least. Thought it over in my mind.

"Last week," he continued, referring to cock-up numero uno, "I even said to you guys I think there's something wrong here.

"But as far as I'm concerned, I rattled off the Promise, I said it word perfect."

There's no disputing he rattled off the Promise word for word, it's just he was supposed to rattle off the Law.

Fed now knows he failed the task. He's not letting on yet to anyone.

Quote:
When All Is Fed And Done
Day 13, 23:30

Federico has discovered it was him who messed up the task - but for the time being, he's opted for the easy way out by not telling anyone about it.

During a twelve-minute chat with Big Brother, the 23-year-old discovered he had blown the task by answering his question wrongly.

Despite asking whether he was allowed to tell the other housemates and being told that he could if he wanted, he chose to keep the news to himself.

After the lengthy period in the Diary Room, Federico exited and headed straight to the bathroom. Once inside, he leant his arms against the wall and buried his head inside them for a moment of reflection.

With the boys raging about the pros and cons of religion in the sitting room, nobody noticed when the remorseful waiter slipped onto the sofa and joined in.

The guilty secret

It must be a difficult decision to make. On the one hand, Federico must want to get it off his chest. On the other, if he tells the housemates, there's a strong chance he will be nominated for eviction next week.

The housemates have admitted they need a decent reason to nominate someone in order to keep their own consciences clean - and what better than nominating someone who has single-handedly failed not one, but two tasks?

Evidently, the pressure of the decision has hit Federico hard. Time and again he looked set to tell the others of his error, but in the end it all proved too much and he went to bed.

Will Federico's guilt get the better of him, or will he keep the truth close to his chest?

I'm not that keen on Fed, but it was probaly nerves and rushing to get it right

BB should not have been so harsh expecting 100%, surely there should have been some leway, unfair

I am sorry, I can't see any redeeming features in this cocky, arrogant little s**t!

He is just awful. I think he epitomises the saying: 'Only a mother could love him'

He will, I think moon around for a couple of days looking desperately unhappy, and then one of the girls will maternally feel sorry for him, and try to cheer him up. he will then tell them, and they will all feel so sorry for him. Despite the hunger pangs, I think they will try to be fair at the next nominations, and he still might escape.

I really hope not though.

If he is up for eviction next week, I think he will go, because we see it all, or we see it all the way BB presents it to us.
