Phillip Schofield's wife has said she will "still be there, holding his hand" after he revealed that he is gay.
The TV star, 57, came out on This Morning on Friday, speaking publicly about his sexuality for the first time in an emotional on-air chat with co-host Holly Willoughby.
Steph, his wife of almost 27 years, told The Sun that she supports Schofield's "brave step".
She said: "I love Phillip, as much today as I ever have, and always will.

I read somewhere that she said she would stay with him until he found someone else, not sure how true that is, what is she finds someone first!

Nothing matters only what’s best for Phil. She will stay on as the cleaner.

Still that’s her choice let them get with it. but I still think there’s more to come.

It's hard to now what to believe Cherie ,so many conflicting stories,but both papers are dodgy to say the least, this is why I take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.According to them she was 'absolutely shattered'

No, but why come out now, he lost weight and became withdraw, he lived with being gay and hiding it for many years.

Something must of happened to make him come out.

there could be many reasons for the timing being now. Maybe he feels his children are at an age they can cope ... maybe the story was about to break, maybe he wants to be with someone else ..... and 100 other variants

I take it a step further, i say that their whole marriage has been stage managed for however long.

what i find very suspect is that the crew and presenters on the show knew for years yet were happy to support him on the best marriage ever fairy tale ... it doesnt add up. If I had been one of the presenters i would be saying tone it down a bit Phil, this will come back to bite you

….maybe this all has something to do with the bad press he has been getting of late. Amanda Holden and Ruth Langford seem to have under currents of dislike for him as has been reported. Maybe its all connected. Maybe its all been timed to get the sympathy and out pouring of love to get rid of the negative press of late.
I feel for his wife and I admire her loyalty. When you have loved someone for so long it must really hurt to know you have just been there to fulfil a role just to help his career. I hope now she moves on and finds the love of another man.
