TV bosses are planning a "champions league" of reality shows in which former Big Brother, Survivor, Pop Idol and I'm A Celebrity contestants are pitted against each another.

Stars of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here and Survivor will also take part in the programme, Back To Reality, to be screened on Five.

The "celebrities" will live together under the watchful eye of the TV cameras and one will be crowned the winner.

The show is only in the planning stages and there is no word yet on where they will live or what the prize will be.

It is likely to be set in a Big Brother-style house rather than a foreign location like the I'm A Celebrity camp in the Australian Outback.

Five said the show, to go out later in the year, would be "the last word in reality."

Back To Reality will be made by Princess Productions, the company behind RI:SE, Model Behaviour and The Wright Stuff.

Executive producer Sebastian Scott told Broadcast magazine: "All the people in the house will be famous and familiar to viewers so they won't have to waste time getting to know them - there will be instant interest in them and in the environment in which they are put. It is intended to be a fun show and not about deprivation."

The show will have interactive elements and the format will be sold to the US if it proves a hit.

What next?

I honestly can't see the likes of Will Young, Darius, Brian, etc. doing this show - and why on earth should they? They all have extremely successful careers already and I'm sure their diaries are booked up solid for many months to come.

I have a feeling that the contestants will probably be made up of several runners up in the various series, but I'll be very surprised if any of the winners take part.

But what do I know?

The only one I can think of who may be tempted to enter would be Narinder - sounds just up her street, but as for the others cant see them doing it - certainly not any of the winners.

And of course there's always Rik Waller
