But illnesses pass like wildfire between kids! Surely if being out in public is too dangerous then putting them all in one place for six hours a day isn't good either.

If you're arguing that public events should be stopped for fear of Corona then encouraging kids to gather at school doesn't make much sense.

Surely you are not comparing a PR stunt to a childs education at school?

If they can cancel the 6 nations then this poorly disguised left wing stunt should never have gone ahead.

As for if schools need to close an announcement from the Government is imminent

Both involve gathering a bunch of people in one place which surely is not a good thing!

Surely you aren't using Corona as a crutch to lash out at a girl that's got your jimmies rustled by existing?

I am afraid the only person pushing that rather negative agenda would be yourself and myself and i am sure others find it most odd

Previous posts say otherwise.

If you're gonna pretend to be fearful of Corona, you can't pick and choose what is acceptable and what isn't depending on your political leaning.

If a gathering at a public event is risky, so is a school. You need to figure out what you are actually trying to say because your position is steeped in hypocrisy as it stands.

I don't think any of us are fearful of the virus, we are far too superior for that, we could never get it, ,no one is accusing Greta for spreading anything so stop trying to make out that those of us that have pointed the mass crowds out and the virus are somehow trying to blame her, and are 'fearful' no one has said that , but we have been told crowded functions have been cancelled and some places where crowds congregate are also closing ,so all that is pointless if people are not going to adhere to the advice , so get off your soap boxes no one is accusing her it just seems reckless to do it at this point in time.

What's hypocritical about saying that they would be more useful helping out with the unfortunate?

They would be more useful helping out the unfortunate instead of causing disruption in Bristol.

I'm not being hypocritical, because I'm not causing disruption in Bristol, they are.

So you're criticising them for listening to someone about the environment and telling them to do something 'useful' when you haven't done anything 'useful'. By listening and being more environmentally conscious going forward, they have already done more than you.

Great way of spreading Coronavirus throughout our schools ..

I’m still not sure about a long term school refuser coming to our country spreading the word that school kids going on strikes will save the planet .

I provide a service in my community, what have they done? Twagged off school. Give them a medal.

Greta may be popular among the 8-10 year olds, a bit like the Bay City Rollers were in their day, but she is pissing off the majority of adults, and as it is them that create the pollution and make the decisions, it's not going to have the desired result.

I also noticed that their is a kind of split in the sexes too ... women seem to be a little more tolerant of her antics whilst blokes are just simply dismissive

...I don’t think it’s a gender thing and I don’t think it’s an age thing either...obviously Greta is a leading voice among young people regarding climate change...but there are many adults who admire her as well, including David Attenborough and Prince Charles....those who are less enthused by her are generally those who are part of the world governments that she addresses...

That could happen if they all went to school though

Well, "could" is a strong word.
