Governmental dithering and attempting alternative ways of trying to deal with it has cost a lot of lives.

The last thing you want to do is take away a nations liberty, so obviously this is the only thing available to attack the government's attempts at keeping those number down..

At this stage of our lockdown, only a desperate person would use that against a fellow man.

You don't know that for sure Slim , those people probably would have died anyway , we will never know ,the same as you don't know the way we have gone has cost lives . It could have been much worse for all we know.

What?

I was saying this as we were dithering at the start of the crisis, I'm not using it for anything, the facts are the facts.

The correct approach of containing the virus was known, Boris didn't want to do that, he wanted to do something else, and now as we're at 980 deaths in the last 24hrs, the breaking news is that Boris waved at the nurses.

It's shocking how badly we've handled this, but whilst half the population makes excuses for them what else is to be expected?

We do know it though Kaz, that's the thing. How could it have been much worse? We had the same lead in time as Germany and Norway, and they're doing miles better than we are. We had a lead in over Italy and Spain, and we're doing roughly the same. All because we left it too late to act.

Yes ... the headmasters union are pushing for an early July return to schools in order to give the kids a short two week dose of school life again and prepare them all for the new Sept term ...

Boris isn’t making the decisions by himself.. they’re being guided by science

It was the opposite science to the WHO was recommending, and the kind of science that allowed the virus to spread unchecked. We had the benefit of watching what other countries had done to attack it, then we did the opposite.

Maybe if we hadn't been stripping away our infrastructure over the last wasted decade, we'd be in better shape.

How many times are you going to make this false excuse? He found something that agreed with what he wanted to do, he didn't follow the consensus science as the best way of dealing with it. He wanted to keep the country open and to take it on the chin. That critical time was wasted.
