i mean come on, we have cookies.

It's not possible to compare BB8 with the most popular series of the past. The way people watch tv has changed dramatically since then, and BB is never going to reach the same heights ever again. You only have to look at the recent ratings for the soaps, for example. More often than not they're pulling in maybe 50% of the audience that was as good as guaranteed, until a few years ago.

Lots of people are comparing BB8 to BB4, but it's nothing like as bad as that (yet). Some have said that it was better last year, when in fact last year was a total mess, lurching from one act of desperation from the producers to another.

Personally, I think BB are spending far too much time observing and not enough time interfering. The tasks seem to slip by almost unnoticed, unless you happen to catch the live feed ... and can lip read. There's very little interaction all round, and it seems the hm's aren't even particularly interested in visiting the diary room, unless they're specifically requested to.

One way or another whatever substances were mixed , things changed and concepts were bastardised last year , I think in the end they still coughed up a good show. Much , much better than this years so far. Plus BB7 had Pete , Glyn , and Nikki , popular characters that caught the attention of the nation.

I definately disagree that BB can never reach the heights it reached again. Something can happen , but it does seem unlikely. Casting back to even 5 years ago , TV was much more watched. The nation would watch a TV show and discuss it the following morning. Now the internet has risen higher and their are more forms of entertainment available and TV is not the 'IT' thing it once was.

You've misread my post, but basically said the same thing in your last 3 sentences.

I did not mis-read your post , nor was my post even a direct reply to yours. I was merely comenting on two points you brought up in your reply to Stu's post.

I see. You weren't replying to it, you were merely commenting on it. Two entirely different things, of course.
