No preview thread for this earlier in the week because the YouTube channel seems to have split from the VH1 channel and it's all got a bit higgledypiggledy.

Anyway, the episode has now aired and if you haven't seen it yet, they have to create adverts for a drag product (basically the same challenge as AS2's). Someone has indeed gone home, so... yeah spoilers.

Seen the lipsync and the adverts with the exception of Sherry's. For me they should've gone thusly...

WIN: Heidi
HIGH: Jackie, Crystal
SAFE: Jaida
LOW: Jan
B2: Widow & Gigi

Gigi was a clear bottom two candidate but of course they keep in some gasps and "ooh wow!!"s for her (kinda bland) runway as justification for keeping her record pristine

Finally Widow was in the bottom! I really wanted her to go home because she's been mediocre the whole time except for the first week. Still as annoying and conceited as ever.
But of course they kept Widow because she was a fan of the guest judge and Ru wanted some drama next week due to the queens saying she should go home. Her lipsync wasn't that great, all she does is being angry on stage when singing. But whatever.

I don't get why Jan left though? I mean, Gigi's was second worst after Widow's. But Gigi is Ru's crush (good bye Naomi Smalls) so she's not going anywhere. And she has three wins to her advantage. And yes Jan cried mostly because she lost the challenge, everybody knows about it.

So pleased at Crystal! She is turning it around big time! She was hilarious and was smart about it.

AMEN at Heidi winning her first challenge! She was way above the rest tonight, Jaida was second, then Crystal and Jackie. Heidi really needed that challenge win, and she used whatever she could to get it. A true fan favorite!

Overall, it was a good episode I believe. No sob stories, no mean and unfunny shade towards the girls, just talent, laughs and a GREAT RUNWAY THEME!

Theres definitely a lot of talent this season, all the runways were amazing, I didnt dislike any. Crystal and Sherry were the best, followed by Jaida, Widow, Gigi, Heidi then Jackie last.

The commercials.... Widow was probably the worst closely followed by Gigi. Sherry next. I didnt actually think Jans was that bad idrk why the judges didnt like it.

The lipsync basically focused on Widow the entire song you could sometimes see Jan in the background dancing past her

Overall a pretty good ep, it was satisfying to see Gigi taken down a peg by the judges

Jan sad: hopefully we’ll see her on a future AS season at one point because she’s incredibly talented and unfortunately got shafted this time round. There’s no way Gigi should’ve been safe this week, but hey she’s tall, white and thin so anything she wears is ~fashion~ I guess. (Compare her looks to the likes of Aquaria and Raja, just no. She is not on their level.)

This season is shaping up to be just as bad as S11 at this point, if not somehow worse. I’ll be backing Jaida, Crystal and Heidi from this point onwards but it feels like a lost cause, Gigi’s win is written on the wall.

her ball looks weren't top-worthy but there were undoubtedly worse queens that week which should've kept ha safe.

but if producers were pushing and favoring her the way they're doing it for Gigi, then Widow could've easily been in the top for World's Worst, Gay's Anatomy, and the Madonna Rusical.

Oh I forgot about Gay’s Anatomy tbf, I actually think she should’ve won for her performance in that. Other than that though, she’s not had many wow moments for me. She’s talented but I don’t think she’s been consistent enough really to get much further.

Controverchele opinion: something specific like a slice of pie works better in these "market a product" challenges than flogging a spray did for the three(!) queens who took that route this week (unless you're Katya of course, none of these rules apply for her)

Yeah I'd rather a queen actually tried to be unique than retread the same idea funnier queens have done before them

(I haven't seen Sherry's advert but it's obviously more "on brand" than something generic like wig glue, gogo-juice or perfume)

Gigi should've been low this week and the bottom 2 should have been Widow/Sherry. I think the judges were just over Jan acting like an over-excited kid and trying to be a master of all trades. Her commercial wasn't bad, but I think the judges were turned off by her extra, always-at-100 personality which made her come off as slightly try-hard/fake, and wanted Jan gone over queens that provide a more "authentic" experience.

I understand people thinking Gigi is overrated but if you honestly think she shouldn't have won the Ball, Snatch Game and Rusical challenges then idk what you're seeing. I'm not saying there weren't other contenders for the win that week, but even so, Gigi smashed all 3 of those challenges and her wins were not just given to her unfairly.
