That isn't me spoiling any scene or anything btw, it doesn't get mentioned again anyway but it is Gus' voice when talking to Hank. He just doesn't recognise it's Gus because of the tone of voice being used. |

Why So Serious?

Finished episode 8, another incredible episode. This show is the gift that keeps on giving.
When Walt saw Leonel in his hospital bed, both his legs amputated, and Leonel recognised him, jumped out of his bed and began crawling towards Walt, it felt like something out of a horror film. It was so terrifying. I did find it funny when Walt lied to Gus about his lateness being due to Gale, but Gus is not a stupid man, and visited the hospital, where a nervous Walt could do nothing but sit there. Gus is so damn ruthless, getting Mike to kill Leonel so he doesn't reveal to Juan Bolsa who told him to kill Hank. And then Gus having Juan killed at the end. He's so evil, I love it! |

The flashback/origin episode for Gus is brilliant and really makes you root for him as a character.

Watched episode 11.
Ahhhhh Jesse's new girl's little brother being the one who killed Combo and then Jesse later on going to that corner meeting him and the gang he works for, the same gang work for Gus and are selling the blue meth that he and Walt are making. I hope he gets revenge on them. Only two episodes left of season 3, I would've finished hours ago but i was too busy napping.

Holy **** what an episode 12 was!
The scene with Jesse, Walt, Gus, Mike, Victor and those dealers was incredible! The look of horror, anger, pain and disgust on Jesse's face after Gus warns him to not retaliate against the dealers was great acting from Aaron. He wants to kill them so badly but he realises he can't, and is so helpless against Gus. Gus killed that scene! Mike's recounting an incident from his cop days about an abusive husband who killed his wife due to Mike's own mistake was great to watch too. I'm liking him more in each episode. The ending where Walt snaps and finally helps Jesse against those dealers was so intense! He came out of nowhere and killed them just as they were about to kill Jesse. Those basterds are ****ing sick, killing poor little Tomas. Although I do wonder if Gus had instructed them to.

You certainly weren't kidding. What a spectacularly, nail-biting ending to another perfect season.
Poor Gale, I'd like to think Jesse didn't kill him in the end but it's obvious he did. I almost wept when he pleaded for his life to a teary-eyed Jesse. He obviously doesn't want to commit murder but he has to in order to save Walt's life. |

Do you think Gus instructed those dealers to kill Tomas?

Yeah, i thought that too. He's one sick, evil man. I do wonder if he anticipated that Jesse would still go after them, more so after they killed Tomas.

End of Episode 12 & the entirety of Episode 13 = EPIC
Same with Season 4 Episode 1. Just an absolutely incredible stretch of 3 episodes right there.

Began season 4, what an opener of an episode!
As I expected, Jesse did end up killing Gale, don't know why there was even a part of me that thought he'd miraculously survive it, or had planned something with Walt and Jesse to fake his death, thereby fooling Gus and making sure nobody would get hurt in the end. Still baffles me why a guy like him would be in this business. I'm still in shock at Gus arriving at the lab, not uttering even a single word, making his way whilst still maintaining his silence through Walt's monologue of excuses and justifications for his and Jesse's actions, changing into his hazmat gear, selecting a box cutter, making his way to Walt and Jesse, standing in front of them, and just as I thought they were done for, he unexpectedly slices Victor's throat, completely startling the others. When even Mike is shocked, you know just how serious, ruthless, sadistic and evil Gus is. When Walt, Jesse and Mike were disposing of the body and Mike asked them if they were certain the hydrofluoric acid would work, to which Jesse replied with ''trust us'' and then a shot of Walt's ''seriously?'' face, as if Jesse hadn't learnt it the hard way. I shouldn't have laughed so hard at that. |
