It’s good that the second time you’ll have mild or no symptoms but if you still pass it on then it’s just as dangerous

This doesn't shock or surprise me.

This is the example of deceit from this lot.
Vile and heartless from the core not just to the core.

True but if there really is no hope of a lasting vaccine then it becoming less dangerous to humans over time (which is what would happen in 2 or 3 generations) because of resistance is good news. Not necessarily for people right now, but for the human race. If there's no hope of a vaccine, no antibody herd immunity and no T-cell immunity then it would be repeated cycles forever, which would essentially mean that people living much beyond 70 / living at all with long term health conditions just wouldn't happen any more.

It's awful and Hancock should have resigned/been fired long ago, but this particular case feels more like oversight than anything else - aren't you only allowed benefits if you have less than like £10k in savings? Hopefully a loophole will be put in place to cover this.

Read it. The government had a choice whether this would infringe on benefits or not, and they made sure it did.

It would be very easy for doctors to put a cause of death on a medical certificate as coronavirus rather than, say, pneumonia, if they knew that it would get the family compensation.

The government has to be careful of that. Or is it only awarded after a positive test for Covid?

Sorry James, but what? Are you suggesting the government absolutely have to make sure that welfare recipients are shafted, in case doctors are gaming the system for absolutely no reason?

No, it's unrelated to the story above. I just commenting on the scheme itself.

Far left, anti-school, mum campaigners

Welcome comrades, for over a century we have worked tirelessly to implement the philosophies of Marx, Trotsky, and Lenin. Mission accomplished.

There is no scrutiny. . It's accepted that they are literally giving these sums to anyone with no regulation or accountibiliity.
