I just caught the end of the Marr show and I think it’s rather intriguing that one of the main ‘sticks’ being used to hit Cummings is the notion that the police contacted Cummings’s family with regard to him ‘breaking the rules’ !!

Yet , in reality, Grant Shapps very eloquently explained that it was actually Cummings’s father who contacted the police himself to discuss the security issue of having Cummings living next door to him .. so Cummings was never threatened with arrest or whatever other nonsensical stories we’re being fed day after day ..

This sounds like a simple hatchet job by the Cummings’s enemies , aided and abetted by our disgraceful media .

Cummings is an awful human being ... this isn't about politics, this is an abhorrent man making the rules for the general public and flouting them himself. This is what the Russian elite got mocked about for decades

I agree, they wont get everything perfect, but then again,no one else would, they are only human.I do think a lot of the bashing is simply because this government is not what they voted for .

I agree, the issue is that people like Cummings know it only matters that "most" people stick to the rules to drive the infection rates down, and if anyone is "important enough" to be the exception, it's them. It's the same reason they were all clambering all over each other in Parliament after stating the 2m distance advice. Then they all got it .

very sad yes

but with all honesty too, USA is a huge nation anyway, 100,000 deaths for them is more like 0.01% of population given they got billions of people living there

doesn't make it any less sad though, since all human lives matter

They don't have billions of people there, it's about 350-400 million

He won't go - he may resign publicly but he's too far in Boris' pocket to be gone completely.. He will just be given a behind the scenes role very quietly and continue to advise.

I think there's a very high likelihood he has some sort of hold over Boris.

I was going to say he won't go as he probably knows too much and rather Boris is in his pocket for some reason but thought I sounded like a mad conspiracy theorist

Right so if they know the facts and think he should go then he's obviously broken lockdown and travelled while ill. So there's literally nothing wrong with others suggesting he resign either then.
