I swear Zizu has accused me of being Matt Hancock twice in the last week so it’s an about face from him today because his beloved Boris made a bit of a tit of himself at the briefing

I thought Cheries point was pretty relevant to be fair. Yesterday was a joke, today was worse. Boris is losing support and face fast in the light of this.

Thank you Annie I have given the government alot of leeway over their handling of the crises and I think they have worked hard at times, but this is farce at best

Maybe that’s just your biased / blinkered view on things .. wanting Boris to look bad and so ‘seeing’ that very thing ..

I felt Boris looked good today but then again I’m coming from neutral ground and don’t have any political axe to wield .

Apologise to all concerned if that’s how I came across .. I’m just feeling a tad anxious today and all this political point scoring does my head in .

Labour realise how important Cummings is to Boris and the government so they want him out not for what he’s done as they couldn’t care less . They just want to weaken the Tories .

The media have a completely different agenda and just saw this a few days of good headlines in this quiet time before June 1st comes around .

It’s all so tediously predictable

I think everyone one is on tenterhooks at present and the Cummings saga has not helped in the least.

I am neither biased nor blinkered thank you very much and if you need to resort to insults when people do not agree, its not really a debate is it? I'm too old for playground name calling.

I respect your opinion and that you think he did well but with respect, I have never nor would I ever disclose my political affiliations and have very rarely criticised the Gov of the day on here....I have been vocal about Cummings mainly due to the fact that I believe this current situation distracts too much from the task in hand which is controlling the virus.

I have never once insulted anyone in this, or any other thread on this forum....not my style so you won't get a rise out of me I'm afraid.

I agree with everything you wrote here

Not @ Annie, but @ people in general: people have been looking for reasons to criticize him since the beginning no matter what he's done. I can understand why he might get criticized over this, but it's not really anyone's place to say he was right/wrong in his decision because there's so much we don't know. And I'm also not part of any political party and nor do I care/have any interest in following it, but I do have a lot of respect for Boris and would regardless of who our PM was.

Neutral...you refer to boris and Dominic as geniuses, how is that demonstrating political neutrality?

You're allowed an opinion on his effectiveness because you claim to be neutral, and I'm not afforded that because I'm not?

Yes I'm left leaning, that does NOT mean a lack the capacity to be objective...especially with a topic with so much gravitas.
