On the radio someone just said that if we get a text telling us we’d been in close contact with a confirmed virus sufferer we should go stay home for 14 days even if we have no symptoms at all ... yet others in your household can carry on as normal !?!
That makes no sense ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

@MattGarrahan NEW: the UK now has the highest coronavirus death rate as a proportion of population of any country in the world. https://www.ft.com/content/6b4c784e-...2-648ffde71bf0 Thrust of the article is that going into lockdown too late made a huge difference. I don't think anyone still denies that was the case, question for the government later on will be how much of that decision was based on 'the science'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

BREAKING Full Independent Sage report to be published today will say it is NOT safe for schools to re-open on June 1. Re-opening risks pushing the R rate above one, say scientists led by former government chief adviser David King

A Report on TV news yesterday
said UK Zoo's need to open soon or some will close for good. I am sure they can put distancing thin wood and markers around. And make sure the amount going in is not too many. |

All hail the Moyesiah

It seems the main reason we have ultimately fared worse than Italy is because the virus was actually contained to mainly just the north of the country. The horror scenes from Lombardy and massive death toll there belied the fact that most of the country was little affected and places like Naples and Sicily not affected at all. Here by contrast pretty much every region has been impacted. Maybe that's partly due to locking down late but it was also made much more likely due to how densely populated the UK is and the number of large urban centres in close proximity
