Shops that remain open should block off non-essentials. The places I mentioned above should remain open only for medics, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, food, clothing, kitchen essentials (rope off the non-essential kitchen stuff), Essential DIY stuff (Paint and wallpaper is not essential) and personal hygiene products etc. Gardening, toy sections, home living sections, potentially stationary sections beyond the bare essentials and such should be roped off entirely. People will keep going out to buy cushions and throws they don't need just for the sake of it if they are offered in these places.

I think they also need to do what Spain did originally and limit the time shops are open. Have them on a rota system, essentially, have some shops open some days, and then close them so other shops can open etc.

I think we need a national lockdown, with schools closing.
It's out of control now!

I agree with all of this. A strict lockdown is needed, no half assed measures.
After lockdown 1, Fife where I stay had zero new cases for days, maybe even weeks then gradually started to creep up again once restrictions were eased and that daft Eat out to Help Out.
I feel we came out of lockdown too early, and a large number of people treated it as a return to normality/a free for all.
Can’t believe some of those shops are deemed “essential” either.

This will be our third lockdown when really we still should have been on our second one because it wasn't really safe to come out of that one and a month lockdown wouldn't really help if you entered it too late (again)

We have 2 choices. Either lockdown in a similar fashion to what we did in March or accept that within the next 2 weeks, the NHS will be overwhelmed and staff will have to decide who deserves a chance to live and who dies. Those are the only choices

SkyNews Sam Coates asks what 'much better' by
Easter actually means - and he wants to know
whether parents are legally obliged to
send pupils back to school next week...]

Johnson said If the Vaccination works
we hope we should be better in Easter?

[Mr Johnson says his message to parents is that children should
return where schools are open as they are "safe".]

The next question comes from Charlotte Ivers of Times Radio,
who asks: "Could you ever envisage a 24-hour rollout of the vaccine?"]

They said it depends on if the stock of Vaccine
gets to places fast enough etc.

Nothing on the 24/7.
