Probably no plan then has he. Like most of Hancock's plans. I lost count of the times Hancock had plans in interviews and the press conferences, while seeing next to nothing of them. |

In a functioning democracy Hancock would be out, but instead he's bragging about how their non-existent plans have worked/are working.

Nice one. In most other settings it would be humerous while embarrassing at the same time. Sadly playing very serious and dangerous games with the lives of people, make it, for me anyhow, more probably despicable. |

It’s odd that they’ve had months of these daily briefings yet now when we’re relaxing soooo many lockdown restrictions (maybe too soon )which could easily trigger a massive second wave of infections / deaths ... they stop .

Volunteers have begun being immunised with a new UK coronavirus vaccine.
About 300 people will have the vaccine over the coming weeks, as part of a trial led by Prof Robin Shattock and his colleagues, at Imperial College London. Tests in animals suggest the vaccine is safe and triggers an effective immune response. Experts at Oxford University have already started human trials. The trials are among many across the world - there are around 120 vaccine programmes under way. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-53061288 |

Which is, despite my current dismay at PMQs, why PMQs is relevant. If more watched it however. Even moreso since Starmer became leader, his reasoned questioning stands out. Despite a few more of his cheerleaders behind him, Johnson really hasn't worked out how to deal with the questions put to him. His bluster and in fact all else, is tiresome in that setting. However people, (obviously not the Tory diehards who'll never see wrong in Johnson), need to keep seeing his wriggling and deceitful sidestepping, even on really serious issues like this pandemic crisis. One thing I'd love to see at PMQs however, is that the PM is compelled to answer the question put and NOT to avoid doing so ask questions of the Opposition leader. This is questions TO the PM not FROM the PM. Once he starts asking a question back, rather than answering the one put. He should be stopped by the speaker. This Speaker is one of the worst ever likely in my view. If he wants to question the Opposition leader, he has opportunities other times in debates in parliament.. Or actually set up a time for OLQs, as in questions to the opposition leader. I doubt Labour or any other party would object to that. Johnson really has brought a new low to just about ALL parliamentary procedure and his performances in parliament. |

I agree Joey, PMQ's would be much more worth watching if the rule was that the PM had to make an attempt to answer the question, or say "I don't know the answer to that" and try to give it at a later date, or even "I can't give you that answer" with a brief explanation of why.
What's the point in a PMQ's where the PM can cherry pick which questions to answer and just ignore the rest? |
