There are so many stories in the USA and UK of people dying from other causes but their death certificates saying Covid-19 as the cause of death. And there are so many videos of people filming their own hospitals and it appears deserted. Every year hundreds of thousands die from the flu but nobody seems to care. And it's even stranger how the government (in true 1984 style) turned on a dime and became okay with protesting as long as it had to do with racism.
It's my opinion that this was all a hoax and a scam. We destroyed our economies over nothing. It's been some time since I last checked these forums and I was wondering if anyone here knows someone (or knows someone who knows someone) who has gotten seriously ill from Covid-19. |

Plenty of people I know have "recently" (Novemberish) had an unexplained and particularly nasty flu like illness, but since the Coronavirus was widely known about most of my nearest and dearest have been self isolating, and work's been off for unbearably long...
No-one I know has had confirmed Covid, but my county is apparently still a "hot spot". |

yes two people I know have died, other than that I don't know anyone who has actually got it just some who suspected they might have before testing became available

I have lost 2 family members, Aunts.
Plus one close friend who had other serious issues but contracted this virus in hospital. Then a friend who was a Nurse who contracted it while working caring for others with this detestable virus. So yes. |

The UK government has repeatedly asked people not to protest during the pandemic but to find other ways to protest?

Thank you caprimint, I appreciate that.
It's not only the unnecessary loss of the loved ones but also the devastation of the lives of those left behind. My Nurse friend had 2 young children. I couldn't even go to their funerals. |

People die of things all the time. In New York the actual number of people dying from all causes, including Covid-19, has not gone up. What has happened is people who died from the flu or pneumonia have plummeted, suggesting many deaths are being misdiagnosed as Covid deaths.

Yes two people that we previously worked for.
The guy worked at Heathrow airport went to a meeting and two people at meeting had it. Came home and passed on to his elderly mother inlaw she died from it. He got serious Ill was intensive care for a few weeks his organs started to shut down and his wife was told to expect the worst but he managed to recover. Sorry for your losses Joey.
My mum was ill with it for about 11 days. 4-5 of them she spent bedridden. She said if it was any worse it would have been unbearable and she’s not surprised, in her opinion at 40, that so many elderly people die from it. |

yes, I know people who had it confirmed, got seriously ill but survived. I get so annoyed with the groups claiming it's a hoax. no-one who has watched the hospital footage from around the world would suggest it was just "normal"

But yeah, I've known people who have had it. It's a real and present danger that's not being oversold or overhyped to be more dangerous than it actually is. |

We live in a world where people treat lies like comfort blankets. They'll tell themselves that Covid is a hoax because the reality of it scares them. They prefer to be told a comfortable lie over an uncomfortable truth.

It's so stupid that people think it's a hoax, there are people suffering and dying from this disease with nurses and doctors working hard and you have people who think it's a hoax. Nuts. My mum had it, but was thankfully asymptomatic. |

This is also the thing with this vile pestilence. There are those who haven't a clue they've got it. It also is infectious I believe 1 to 3 days before any symptoms appear anyway. It's deadly. It may well be, for the massive majority, the symptoms or attack from it won't be in any way life threatening. Once it gets to a weaker source however, re elderly or those with other health issues, or immune system issues. Then it doesn't bear thinking about. |
