It's not something I know a lot about aside from it's impact on pop culture but I'm quite intrigued to see what the fuss is about. Disney paid a stupid amount of money for rights to screen the stage performance and they were going to release it in cinemas next year until Covid came about. |

If theatres across the country weren't postponing/scaling down productions (including the West End run of Hamilton), running out of cash, making massive job cuts and in some cases going bust, I'd probably be a little happier to see Disney's pockets getting lined off the back of this

It's a televised screening of a stage show and, thus, will be crap. I love live theatre but it doesn't translate to screen at all, the whole point of it is that the person is right there and it is 100% live... Every intonation, every stumble and recovery, that person is right there in front of you.
I love TV and film, too, but its an entirely different medium. I can't stand musicals in movie form but have seen three live in the West End and they were all incredible. I've seen a recording of a show I was actually at online and it just doesn't capture that feeling and atmosphere, at all. Last edited by user104658; 23-06-2020 at 02:58 PM. |

The bloody Rat is grabbing more cheese, I see ...
I don't know much about Hamilton at all. I know that song I'll Be Back, which seems to be identical to Daydream Believer ![]()
