She was scared she’d be seen as a ‘troublemaker’ if she spoke out about it, which is what happens when black people speak out

I'm sure it would be the same if the numbers were reversed, if the population was 90% black. Money talks at the end of the day

She couldn't win either way, even when she was on strictly she knew if she was happy they'd say she doesn't care about her mother's death , if she showed emotions then they say she's looking for sympathy.

I don't think anyone will understand the immense pressure of being in these situations.

Personally I would rather be seen as a troublemaker and stand up for what is right and what I believe in....but we are all different.

Oh really ?? Well what about abuse victims that only spoke out when the #metoo movement came about.

Unless you've been in Alexandra's shoes then you can't really judge .

...her voice breaks with a lot of emotion when she says that she’s so annoyed with herself for allowing some of the things to be said...but she was only 19yrs old when she was rejected because she was black...it’s heartbreaking because a victim so often a sense of blame for something that she is entirely not at Any fault ...

"If white people were the oppressed minority it would be the same" is not a defence of racism.

You don’t know anything about me....my husband has been there...spoke up and ultimately lost out on a career...a big career... So I can ****ing judge thank you.
Always admired him for it and he always knew he did the right thing and reported it at the time...because when something isn’t right...it isn’t right so you need to stand up for yourself and do the right thing.

Because it's always that simple to "do the right thing" ? as you put it . I don't know what your husband's situation was , but things AREN'T always that straight forward , she was trying to make a successful music career and probably felt her hands were tied and that she wouldn't get the support.

Alexandra was only 19 when she was on xf and she was under alot of pressure. She was clearly too worried to say anything at the time , as i said already this has now encouraged other people to come forward .

She's not alone and other's have experienced similar things , and they probably felt they couldn't do anything about it .

No you don’t know the details...but I can assure you his abuse was far worse and he was 4 years younger than Alexandra Burke.
Her hands were not tied...she decided that fame and fortune meant more to her. That may sound harsh. She’s had her fame and fortune...something my husband sacrificed for speaking up and doing what was right...she should have spoken up when she won it and she could have made a huge impact...but she rolled with the fame and put it to one side...until now.

I wish you'd stop making out it was that easy for her to speak out , she was in the public eye and under pressure to do well.

As i said what about victims of abuse / assault who take years to come forward?? as they were too scared and bullied ? .

Try watching these videos and see if you get a better understanding
