You must eat in some awful places.

Why not support healthy eating with discounts instead of supporting burgers, nuggets and chips?

If they want to get people eating healthier, healthy food should be cheaper than junk, a family of 4 with a single mother probably wouldn’t be able to fill the fridge up with fresh fruit and vegetables twice a week, it’s easier for people to eat badly when they can’t afford the good stuff.

Yes because the best way to tackle obesity is tell them they are worthless and not allowed free health care because they are not skinny

no, but there should just be a ban on junkfood now, and especially now Boris wants to tackle obesity in britain

sooo these businesses could try and advertise more healthier products, like the salad bars, and try to purchase fresh fruit and veg, i mean you gotta adapt to current times, i think fresh veg salad, fruit salad would sell also pretty well, especially now in summer time

I’m actually quite happy I can get my junk food fix for a bit cheaper now although I do find it quite odd that considering the government have said before that we’ve got an obesity problem in this country, they are not making any steps to make certain healthier foods cheaper as well. At the same time though I can imagine that this is very helpful to many low income families as well, who struggle to put food on the table especially if they’ve been on 80% of their wage for some time.

Not all families can afford to buy healthy foods and personally this is something I think that the government could’ve addressed here to help businesses as well.

This is not a nice thing to say, many people will lose their jobs and will struggle to put money on the table for their family. Mortgages, uniforms, rent, food shop and essential stuff doesn’t pay for it’s self.

I agree with this to an extent, but on a local level for me in particular the fruit and veg from Aldi and Lidl will only last a few days before turning, whereas fruit and veg from other shops such as Morrison’s keeps fresher for longer so we can actually buy all our fresh produce for a week in there, whereas if we went to Aldi or Lidl we would have to make 2, sometimes 3 separate trips.

Normally in a week we will get all of our cupboard and frozen produce from Aldi or Lidl and get all of our fresh produce and luxuries from Morrison’s or Asda.

I get this kinda but I do think there’re other things that come into it as well. A lot of families especially low income families need to make their shopping last a considerable amount of time. A carton of Tropicana is around £2.30 and that’s barely gonna last a couple days for a family whereas for the same price you could buy a couple of bottles of cola or Robinson’s or something and it will go further.

Some people can't afford these outlets often so it'll be nice that they can treat themselves.
