[John Lewis: Civil rights icon and congressman dies aged 80

Lewis was one of the "Big Six" civil rights leaders, which included Martin Luther King Jr, and helped organise the historic 1963 March on Washington.

As a congressman he was a Georgia Democrat, and represented an area which covered most of its capital Atlanta.]

Just heard about this. There was documentary on him just the other day and he was interviewed on CNN. I HUGE loss. All of the big six civil rights pioneers are no longer with us.

...it was a very fine eulogy, Girth...thank you for posting......worthy words for a great man...’the progress is fragile...’...his words for George Floyd, BLM and the demonstrations were very powerful and show ‘..the working progress’ that is still felt and still true...
