When a thread gets removed can admin and mods give the member who made the thread an explanation why it was removed?

Not just remove it and then not answer why!

This seems to be the only way to get a reply from anyone these days is to post on the main board.

I've had individual posts removed with no explanation and without getting an infraction, makes me confused af xD especially when I assume I didn't actually make the post or that it just got lost in the ether as things do from time to time, and then get infracted for re-posting something which was deleted

If it's the thread I think you're talking about, you must have some understanding of why it was deleted.

I know you didn't mean it to come across the way it did, but there were some pretty descriptive sentences about underage girls, what they were wearing, and how others were interacting with them. I didn't report it, but I think it was the right decision to remove it for your sake as much as anybodies, because it just didn't read in a way that reflected well on you.

You wont recieve an infraction for every single post that is removed due to there being multiple reasons and scenarios, for example the post may have been quoting a deleted comment, it may be part of an argument that is being cleaned up etc

Reread the rules and you will see it says staff can remove comments or threads by members without any explanation, that's not to 'silence' anyone it's due to most posts being removed being self explanatory.
