Default Bags of 'human remains' found in Suffolk river

This is terrible

[Bags of bones found in a river in Suffolk
are believed to be human remains, police have said.
They were discovered on Thursday
afternoon in the River Stour between
Meadow Gates and Croft Bridge
in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Police have launched an investigation
into the finding after being called to
the river at around 4.35pm.
A Suffolk Police spokesman
said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone
who may have witnessed any suspicious
activity close to the river,
where a submerged shopping trolley
and the bags containing the bones were discovered nearby.]

It sounds like the bones were dumped there not that there was ever a body there, really terrifying!

I'm hoping it's a case of old remains from a disused graveyard being mishandled and badly disposed of rather than the darker alternative of there being a highly effective and unknown serial killer that's been operating for years undetected. The first option is still awful, mind.

...this is my local area and obviously very prominent in local news/media as well...the part of the river where the bones were found backs onto the courtyard of care home as well.../...I don’t know if there would be found to be any connection...but there are two area sectioned off and being investigated...
