I Cant Breathe

Its seems there is a bit of an uproar about this over 2 recent ages including a man who is bald and looks in his 40s claiming to be 15 and allowed in schools but when a girl questioned his age was almost suspended from school.
This is a very unsafe thing to be doing, I understand people need to be schooled but to let a 40 year old man pretend to be 15 and not even question it is very dangerous and wreckers

...the only thing that I can find about this is that the age has been verified and the parents notified of that verification...

But how can you verify someone's age without documents,?

I agree that from a safeguarding perspective, unless there is full & complete documentation or the person is obviously a child, it needs to be something that's tackled with caution. I don't think anyone should be excluded from getting an education, but I think ideally there'd be a remote learning option when there's any question of incorrect personal details, so someone could study for school qualifications and then attend only for exam purposes.
I'd need to see a picture to provide any thoughts on likelihood of being accurate though - a teenager (and certainly one who has been through tough times) could definitely look like a young adult, but they wouldn't look middle-aged. |

Oh no, I'm English

I don't know enough about this story, but there was a boarder at my school who was losing his hair, had a full beard, and had the body of russian shot putter at 14. We used to call him Jonny Lew 42, because he looked older than the teachers.

I did know a couple of guys with receding hairlines at 16, and a couple who could grow full beards. I could only muster a little 'stache and goatee at that age . Though I did have an adult's height/build.

remember the "child" migrants" i while back
they were er, a little older than what they claimed... Unless they have concrete proof of age they should not be let near schools |

well, most children look like ... children, so there isn't an issue normally. If someone looked 40 and was going to the same classes as my lad, i would be asking questions

...I guess that’s if the person did look around 40 yrs old ...I’m not entirely sure that’s the case from what’s reported...other than some social media/stuff from a few parents...

It all sounds like a bit Daily Mail/facebook outrage mongering and a dog whistle for racists to moan about.
