The new title needs to be significantly better than Andromeda, I personally would be hoping for a true sequel back in the Milky Way however a trilogy remaster is very welcome news, as I do still occasionally contemplate a Mass Effect replay.

I wonder if they'll bring the gameplay mechanics of ME1 in line with 2 and 3? I enjoyed both systems but they play very differently, and Shep's biotics were massively overpowered (although also a LOT of fun) in the first game.

The trilogy was great by what I've seen from my Brother playing it, but the franchise needs to be able to move on now.

I liked the idea of Andromeda, a whole new galaxy to explore. Then I found out it was filled with just two different kinds of aliens, the friendly dudes and the Kett

I only played maybe 8 - 10 hours I think. It just felt like a load of wasted potential.

It had large and clearly decently conceptualized areas but there was basically nothing in them... and that, alongside the bizarre graphical bugs and glitches the game had early on (and the general graphics downgrade) was just a pretty strong indication that the game was rushed out and quite blatantly unfinished. EA mostly to blame, of course.
