The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge 's Christmas card has been shared online

In an adorable snap, all the family are wearing cosy winter clothes with the oldest child Prince George, seven, sitting next to his father, Prince William.

Princess Charlotte, five, is seen sitting on her mother Kate Middleton's lap, while the youngest of the clan Prince Louis, two, nestles between his parents, both 38.

The card is addressed 'To all the amazing NHS staff,' with the message: 'Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year'.

Inside, there is a handwritten note from William, according to Hello.

He writes: 'We can never thank you again for all the dedication and sacrifice you have had to make this year. We will be forever grateful.' The card is signed by William and Catherine.

It's not known where the shot was taken but the Cambridges have spent most of lockdown at their Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk, and their previous cards have been taken there.

The shot is decidedly more festive than the family's 2019 card, which saw the family pose with a vintage khaki-coloured motorbike, in a sunny setting.

Social media posts from the time showed the message inside the card, which read 'Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year' - and is signed in black pen by 'Catherine'.

It comes after The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave their children an early Christmas treat yesterday with a trip to the pantomime in London's West End.

The youngsters were taken by William and Kate to a special pantomime performance at The London Palladium, hosted by The National Lottery, which was held to thank key workers and their families for their phenomenal efforts this year.



Holding their parents' hands tightly, they walked up to the the theatre, entranced by the sight of an elf juggling snowballs.

Little Louis, smartly dressed in blue cardigan was with his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, elegant in a Alessandra Rich dress, while his brother, George looking more grown up than ever in a striped jumper, held onto the duke.

Feisty Charlotte happily walked on her own, kicking her legs in a grey and black tartan dress, shrugging off her father's guiding arm.
