Yes they are not.

Only if the Data shows
no big rise in infections/deaths
which could be very hard to achieve.

We WILL have to cope somehow.. we always do ... it’s just more stress on education staff .

What could possibly go wrong ...

I just hope they have made provisions to replace all the education staff who will ( for whatever reason ) either be poorly or on long term stress /sick leave or who have simply left the profession.

The vacxine will stop people from.getting seriously ill with the virus.
Even if we have to do it every year it's definitely worth it to have a normal life.

What are the overall findings?

The Israeli study found an 85 per cent reduction in symptomatic Covid-19 within 15 to 28 days with an overall reduction of infections, including asymptomatic cases detected by testing, of 75 per cent.

One dose of vaccine against Covid-19 in Scotland has cut hospital admissions by more than 85 per cent, according to the first data published on the impact of the UK programme. By the fourth week after receiving the initial dose, the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines had reduced risk of hospitalisation by up to 85 per cent and 94 per cent respectively.

Even if it was only 55% (which its not), that would mean 55 out of 100 people not getting seriously sick. I don't even know why you care as you said you're not getting vaccinated. Leave those of us, who believe the scientific reports and data, to it and stop sating everything is lies and vaccines are toxic. That kind of misinformation costs lives.

AZ which has chimps virus in it, i call that toxic garbage and i can fully understand Germany now being fully against this one, i sooo pray to god we dutch follow soon after to ban this one either

also the ''israeli research'' 94% effectiveness well comes from a british newspaper, how biased trying to defend your own vaccine so i don't believe it for that reason

Nicky this is real world data, not data from the trial

n tandem with scaled-up of vaccinations, more reliable data is emerging on how effective vaccines are.

and the article is from the Irish Times which is not part of the UK and the Lancet is a very respected Medical Journal

I trust the science. Oxford has done an excellent job.
With the vaccine we will soon be back to a normal life and I can't wait.

The concerning thing for me yesterday, was when they were asked how many deaths were possible from the opening up measures announced.

There was confirmation they expect the additional death figures rising still, to indeed rise further from this easing out of lockdown.

Chris Whitty however indicated it best not to put figures to that.
Interesting since he and others said in March last year 20,000 would be a good result over the pandemic.

Quite where 6 times more, at least, as to that has anyone thinking well done to this PM and his Ministers is mystifying.

So just how many people are this government now, even with the vaccines, willing to have the lives sacrificed of more UK citizens to send schools back now, and open up further.

Shouldn't we be told the data that says, there WILL be now extra rising deaths because of the easing measures announced yesterday, commencing 8th March.
Which I'd guess likely will have estimations of those deaths to come.

I'd like to know, will it be an additional ,1,000 more, 3,000 more, 5,000 more, 10,000 more or as was presented in the question to them yesterday, could it be a further 20,000 to 30,000.
No reply from them, because I'd guess they expect another bad result.

To those clamouring for holidays, for to get to pubs and be able to socialize more, which we all want, then perhaps thousands more deaths because things are being relaxed don't mean much to some of them possibly.
It matters to me, POSSIBLY thousands of more people losing their lives, despite the vaccines, because of the relaxing of the restrictions announced yesterday.
That will never be acceptable to me, sorry.
To have them added to the really nearer 130,000 already lost.
Which include thousands of lives lost unnecessarily in that figure already.

Nothing should have been risked or done in any way, then only gradually from April at least.

The schools ALL back, on 8th March is going to open up hoards of children, parents, other family, friends, neighbours, staff, cleaners, meal staff, delivery staff, out into the community, heading to Stores from school, older pupils in groups in Stores at lunchtimes and after school

For just 3 weeks more until the Easter break.
Which on the science and government's admission yesterday, WILL lead to even more deaths by that opening up.

So more families are going to pay the price of this 3 week madness.
By deaths of their loved ones, AGAIN.

dutch public putting pressure on government to relax some measures

they will regret that if they relax measures now, because then new cases numbers will go massively upwards again but what do i care, i don't give a damn about dumb netherlands anyways

but as for Netherlands: a press conference tonight, exactly which measures will get eased

the media thinks barbers reopening, and schools reopening, and outdoor exercising being allowed again

PM Rutte isn't keen on relaxing measures at all but this is just to please the public who desperately want more positive news

so pubs, restaurants, bars, non-essential shops remain closed

+ already announced that Zoo's have a support package of 39 million, which they can use so much, if only to save them from debts, and being able to continue buying foods for the animals, salaries for their employees
