For us it’s far too dodgy to travel to our place in Spain as Amber can change to red within days and then you have the scramble to get home before you end up paying 1700 each in a hotel, it’s just not worth the risk ...We would only consider going to a green county and even then all the testing puts us off, if you test positive you are stuck out there until you test negative and who knows how long that would take

I don’t see us locking down fully again, think this is being pushed so people get vaccinated as vaccination rates have slowed dramatically

everything is open to change very quickly at the moment. Anyone travelling is well aware of this, it's been happening since last year so people complaining about it are just stupid.
I think we will have some form of social distancing back in by law within the next 4-6 weeks and thats going to affect the leisure industries again. It's possible that the infections will burn themselves out particularly if this warm weather continues for a week or two, we will just have to wait and see |

We can go to Ireland though
People travelling from Britain to Ireland will no longer need to self-isolate on arrival here from Monday, 19 July if they are fully vaccinated, the Irish Embassy in London has said. The requirement for them to undergo a PCR test 72 hours before departure will also end. However, unvaccinated travellers from Britain will still have to produce a negative PCR test on arrival to this country and undergo 14-day home quarantine.

[Israel:
Israel led the world in getting vaccines into people's arms. Such was the success of its vaccination programme that Israelis threw off the face coverings and embraced. But this week Prime Minister Naftali Bennett urged people to once again wear their masks indoors and "stop kissing and hugging" - or face another national lockdown as cases surge. The police have been instructed to step up enforcement of the mask rule with high fines for people who violate it.] https://www.itv.com/news/2021-07-15/...k-new-freedoms |

Yeah vaccinations are at the point now where every adult has been offered a vaccine (weeks ago), they’re slowing down because there isn’t as much demand, people who don’t want to get one won’t. So people that keep pushing “until the whole population are vaccinated” are dumb because it’s never going to happen (and people shouldn’t be forced vaccines). In their eyes there should be a permenant lockdown therefore

we have to get life back to normal as much as we can. It's right to test the boundaries to see what we can do without putting lives at undue risk

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-say-SAGE.html [Coronavirus cases will stay high for months until autumn after passing 100,000 in two weeks' time and a new lockdown will be needed by September, experts have warned. It comes just two days before England is set to ditch most restrictions including social distancing and legal limits of gatherings on Monday - dubbed Freedom Day. Professor John Edmunds, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), said that with the lifting of lockdown restrictions in England on Monday the disease would continue to spread.] |

I don't think there'll (hopefully ever) be a need to be closing down things like "non essential retail" again for example, or stopping people going to parks and beaches. |

Despite the perspective illusions these photographers have chosen to use to sell a good picture to the press - it is highly unlikely that people are sitting within 2m of a group of strangers on a beach, and airborne particles disperse to harmless levels in seconds in an outdoor environment.
You're more at risk 20m from someone in an air-conditioned room than you are 1m from them outdoors, because the air circulates. |
