This. It's a risk/benefit ratio, and that's been sort of forgotten because of heavy anti-anti-vax campaigning. I was talking about this pre-covid. There's basically been concentrated efforts to insist that "vaccines are 100% safe, vaccines are risk free, vaccine injury does not exist" - which is a flat-out lie. They are extremely rare and standard childhood vaccinations are very well tested, but they are not risk free, vaccine injury occurs regularly. So how do we justify vaccination and why is it a good idea? Because we know as statistical fact that the risks associated with measles are MUCH higher than the risk of the measles vaccine. And there are obviously even more extreme examples than that (e.g. TB). Though there are some already-dubious examples already in the standard schedule these days - such as chicken pox vaccine.

The huge moral question about the Covid vaccine for under 15's is that there is no evidence at all that it offers a favourable benefit/risk ratio. It's being done for "the good of the community" rather than the benefit of the individual child, and to top that off, there isn't even any evidence that it'll be of benefit to the community.

It's quite a scary thing to be rolling the dice on, tbqfh.

the vaccine doesn't stop the spread though, so that is an incorrect assertion

Mmm interesting. . .
I’ve heard that we will never offered a flu jab ( in the other arm ) at the same time .

I’ve never had the flu or a flu jab - don’t know what to do this year though .

Any thoughts ?

not the Flu one.

You'd then probably need an event to implement that certificate. So how fortunate that the Corona Virus came along.

I don't want the flu jab.
We're still wearing masks at work, so I don't think we need it this year.

the only jab i ever had was back when i was like 3 or 4, so way long time ago

now it is more vitamins for me, 3 pills of vitamin A, 5 pills of vitamin C, and 1 pill of vitamin D each day (the vitamin D though we only began with last year because we had read extra vitamin D is good for you in times like these with covid)

always have had good hygiene myself, my parents, we also have anti-bacterial wipes to clean our groceries too, that is how far we go basically to protect ourselves from any bacteria, virusses

and we never open the door not even for delivery guys for packages, we say it out of window to put it down in front of our door

It supposedly stands for Coronavirus Disease 2019. Though I always thought that was a odd/dumb acronym.

That woman to Trudeau, though, welp!

Do you believe we'll return to life as we knew it to be just two years ago? I for one would like to find out if we are.

The one I suggested sounds more plausible, would you agree? Especially with all this vaccination ID talk.

I think a reasonable question to ask would be, are we returning to life as we knew it? Don't you think?

Next time the PM or Witty are answering questions, that would be a reasonable question to ask, I'd say.
