Default What did the Tories **** up more

Brexit and COVID-19 are both inarguably horrendous ****-ups, but what was worse?

I didn’t include starving children on the list but feel free to make a multiple-choice poll with this and their other ****-ups if you cba

COVID I guess, Brexit could have gone worse if we’d have left without a deal

There have been major, life losing consequences of the way they have handled the pandemic, with the odd glimmer of good (furlough, vaccine rollout) but I honestly feel the effects of the Brexit mess will affect us for far longer so I choose Brexit.

Covid tbh

Brexit was always gonna be a bumpy road. The Tories are handling it badly, but it could be a lot worse! I don't see leaving the EU as a bad thing per say, it's just a bloated, neoliberal, capitalistic, globalist crapheap tbh

if the anti-maskers/vaxxers people won't obey the rules, not the governments fault

Really both.
However brexit was a deceitful exercise from the start on both sides.

There are things I'll never forgive this PM and government for on unnecessary losses of lives to covid.
Both from personal experience and of others experiences too.
So no contest on that one it has to be covid just about across the board on it too.

Except at present in the vaccine rollout so far.

The tories have brought us through both.

Y'all need your furlough money cancelled.

COVID, as that could’ve actually been dealt with well, whereas there was no way ever that Brexit actually had any hope with the team around Boris

Covid is a global pandemic that has affected the entire planet. They could have handled it better, they could have been better prepared in the first place, but ultimately it was a toral wildcard event that no one could have predicted.

Brexit on the otherhand, was not just badly handled, it was a situation entirely of their own making. It literally didn't have to happen.

So I have to say Brexit.

It's difficult to choose. The government sleepwalked into the pandemic despite months of warnings, they've chosen to ignore scientific advice until the situation becomes critical and they cannot. They are basically doing the bare minimum and letting the worst happen before doing anything instead of handling it pro-actively like countries that have it under better control have done.

Meanwhile these past few years of Brexit have basically been a political pantomime to position Boris as the PM. The deal he was so against that he dramatically quit his position a few years back is not dramatically different to the one he agreed to in December. Everything since then has gone as the experts have predicted, what they have said since 2016 but the sheep decided to ignore because of a ****ing lie on the side of the bus.

Brexit is a ****ing disaster but one that the voters share responsibility in for voting it to happen and ensuring that incompetents are in charge of it. Covid has gotten as bad as it has here because of pure wilful ignorance by the government.

It's difficult to say which is worse, I think the fact that you've still got morons downplaying both is in itself soul crushing. No matter what the tories do, people will just wipe off the turds that have been dunked upon them by Boris and continue to vote Tory just 'cus.

The Tories are horrifically incompetent, and the public are utter fools for allowing them to take power time and time again with bull**** like 'But it'll be worse if Corbyn/Starmer/whoever-Murdoch-has-indoctrinated-them-to-hate is in charge!'

Covid. The fact there’s tories that don’t think they handled this extremely poorly and have caused a lot of unnecessary harm... if labour had handled covid like the tories have I would be the first to put my hand up and say they ****ed up. This isn’t about parties, this is about human lives. People really let hatred and patriotism get in the way of humanity

...I guess as we can’t have both, I’ll vote COVID as it’s more the ‘clear and present danger’ as it were...Brexit is a much more long term and progressing mess up...

The biggest error was filling the cabinet with a bunch of completely incompetent brexit fanatics. That means that the best people for the various jobs have been discarded in favour of the current shower. So the biggest failure was picking an incompetent cabinet

Can't we call it a draw?

The arguments that have been made from both camps had a lot of great, valid points to them, and I've barely swung my vote to Covid as it has cost so many people their lives, and let's be honest here in saying that the people that actually survive through this Pandemic will be psychologically scarred for years to come.
